What to do around Christmas in Reykjavik 05/12/2011

 

Staying in Iceland over the holidays is fantastic, snow, northern lights and traditional Christmas food make it an unforgettable experience. But what to do when all shops and restaurants close? The main day of celebration for Icelanders is Christmas Eve, 24 December. While Icelanders visit family and friends, a tourist in Reykjavik might not have that many options, or does he? We have listed some of the things to do.

The Nordic house - Norræna hússið
