We’ll introduce you to our idea of mead, what the Vikings brewed, give you a taste of beer substitute, what Icelanders drank during the prohibition years and also pour you a shot of Brennivín, produced in our very own distillery, among other extraordinary Icelandic beverages.

We’ll serve you our Gull beer, Malt & Appelsín, different kinds of spirits and history, all in this 60 minute visit that will surely make your day brighter and we promise that you will leave with a smile on your face.

And so, if you haven’t experienced Icelandic alcoholic beverages you are in for a treat!

The host was enthusiastic and the presentation was informative and a lot of fun. You taste several different beers there including one right from the tank that isnt completely filtered. The only problem was that it wasnt quite long enough, it would be nice to have a little more time to finish the drinks.

This was a highly entertaining tour that my husband and I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, someone in our group had to be back for a 8:00pm Northern Lights Tour with a different company so we were very rushed. Many in the group were not happy about this as we were really pressured to get moving and get back to the bus for this one person. I recommend that people do take this tour but I also suggest Iceland Excursions warn people in the description on their web site that there is no guarantee tour participants will be back by 8:00pm.

Thank you for your review and comments about the Taste the Saga tour, so glad you enjoyed it.  As in the description of the tour, both online and in our brochure indicate that the AH150 Taste The Saga tour is of 1 1/2 hour duration. Passengers are arriving at the brewery shortly after 18:00 meaning the program should end by 19:30 and passengers be returned to their respecitve hotels or any other location in Reykjavik. We have previously been book passenger on this tour with our own AH33 Northern Lights tour that departs Reykjavik at 20:00

Tour is amazing and really good value for money. Also the guide (woman with red hair but can't remember her name) she was really good and her knowledge is excellent. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. The only bad thing that i have to say about it was that after the tour and more info it just ends suddenly and we had a lot of beer to finish but couldn't because the bus driver was waiting on us! Apart from that trough all good.
