The minibus was full of people on Sunday morning, when we set off on our sightseeing tour. The friendly, chatty bus driver was our guide, too. He was a native Icelander with a funny, lovely English accent. It was still dark, in wintertime, but we could take photos, and the colours of the lights proved to be very impressive. We went around the greater city, stopping and getting off the bus at the places of interest. We got a picture not only about the highlights, but Icelands history, people, customs, moreover, we heard interesting stories. It was a really enjoyable tour.

I found this tour very interesting and just the right length of time. There were a few short stops to take photos and a longer stop at the Pearl, a view point Dome on a hill, overlooking the city, which you could walk around and see the sights 360 degrees. The tour guide was very informative and her stories of different aspects of the city and country as well as previous famous visitors were quite amusing to listen to. The Iceland excursions are the most straight forward and well run that I have ever been on and would definately recommend it to anyone looking for an informative and interesting city tour.

This tour is recommended and should be compulsory for those who wish to get an overview of the Reykjavik city center. Among much else, Perlan with its modern glass architecture, its viewing platform and a revolving restaurant was impressive and worth a visit. It was also nice to know more of the presidential palace and also with own eyes to see how beautiful it is located. The guide was friendly, very knowledgeable and told us during the journey about all the different places that we passed or stopped by.

It was very interesting to know lot about history of Reykjavik and politics about Iceland. It would be nice if you could give us map how we drive before departure.

Thank you for your comments and review. Your suggestion of a map of the locations visited seems a good idea, we will certainly look into this.

I wasn't very impressed. The guide would say something like "the house on the left was something" and never really pointed it out. Then she shifted to Swedish and went thru the same speech so you never knew if the item you were supposed to see was up ahead yet or right there. I thought the tour was a bit overpriced for what we got.

Thank you for your comments and review. The tour guide on the City Sightseeing tour is more often than not a driver-guide and will point out places of interest during the tour other than the actual  stops on the itinerary. It may be difficult to actually point to the places other than speak about it. On some days we offer guidance of our tours in different languages other than English, we understand that this can be tiring for some but very much appreciated by most that cannot understand English. The fare is calculated carefully taking into consideration the length of the tour, labor laws etc. and is comparable with similar tours in other cities in Europe.
