  • A Great Adventure!

Tour Description:

We started rafting the Hvítá River (pronounced Kveetau) almost 25 years ago and since those early days it has been the most popular adventure activity in Iceland. The Hvítá river is a beautiful and fun river a little more than one hour from Reykjavík. The river has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. On our way we pass through the magnificent Brúarhlöð canyon and in that stunning setting participants have the option of jumping from a cliff into the river.  Who can resist going glacier river swimming in Iceland?

No one should leave Iceland without experiencing the power that its rivers contain and lay eyes on the scenic canyons of Hvítá river...not to mention relaxing in our sauna or hot-tubs after a day of adventure!

We raft a seven kilometer stretch of the river and in the famous Brúarhlöð canyon the rafters get to jump from a cliff into the river.

The morning tour includes a lunch buffett after the river rafting.
The afternoon tour includes a BBQ lamb steak dinner after the rafting at Drumbo.

enjoyed this trip - went with my 13 year old daughter (who really enjoyed herself) Rafting maybe a little tame for me , but well organised and jump off cliff into river was good fun.

This trip was really good fun. Me and my sister had not done rafting before and this was a safe introduction and we LOVED it and will do more when in Canada later this year. We LOVED the canyon jumping too, WOW how cold was that beautiful glacier water? A special thank you to Ben from Finland who gave my sister an extra little burst of courage! Thanks Ben ;)
