In one afternoon, this popular excursion enables travelers to visit some of Iceland’s most famous sites.

We visit Þingvellir National Park (English: Thingvellir), where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD.

In 2004 Thingvellir National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List and is now one of eight hundred places in the world that have been honoured by UNESCO.

From there we continue to Gullfoss waterfall and the spouting hot spring area around Geysir and Strokkur.

Although this trip is an express tour, you will be visiting some of the very best known historical sites and natural phenomena in the country.

We chose the shorter trip because we had so much we wanted to see. However, were not disappointed - there was plenty of time to enjoy the sights we visited, the guide was pleasant and VERY informative. We could have hired a car - but we would have missed out on so much information about Iceland - current, historical, cultural and folklore. We were also lucky that the Gullfoss Waterfall was still partially frozen which added to the spectacle. We were even treated to several shows from the Geyser Strokkur. Thankyou - we have already recommended your excursions to many friends.

Just brilliant. Really good tour guide. Wish we could have stayed a little longer at Gullfoss waterfall. Our 12 year old grandson loved it all.
